6 Categories
If you select Manage in the Administrative Panel and then select Categories in the secondary Administrative Panel, you will have the opportunities to create categories for your posts, pages, and links.
Categories can help to organize the information you present on your blog. Many bloggers, for instance, discuss a focused range of topics within their blog, such as “Today’s musings,” “Tech Announcements,” and “Just for Fun.” By creating categories, you create an additional way to understand and retrieve these related topics.
To create a categories
- Select Manage in the Administrative Panel and then select Categories in the secondary Administrative Panel.
- Head on down the page to the Add Category section.
- Provide a category name.
- Leave Category Parent at None unless you want to create subcategories.
- Provide a description if you care to.
- Select the Add Category button.
Now, when creating posts, pages, or adding to the blogroll check the category that pertains in the Categories section to the right.
You can also create new Categories on the fly when you are writing posts. Open the Discussion menu on the right of the page and type in new Categories as necessary.
