1 Overview

WPMU blogs are available to any member of the Stockton community. They do not live behind a firewall, but are accessible to all corners of the internet. Accessibility and ease of use make them attractive to anyone wanting to build and maintain a website.

The archiving and discussion capabilities of these blogs make them useful in a range of interactive ways:

  • if the comment feature is turned on, posts invite extended commentary and feedback from readers
  • rss capability allows blog authors to publish posts directly to interested readers
  • archiving features give structure to evolving blogs
  • Clubs or campus organizations can post items of sustained interest while keeping members up to date on events.

Blogs are a deeply literate medium. Individuals or teams of authors create content that is focused, on-going, and current. You can think of these blogs as websites or e-zines or web-based discussion forums. If you have something to write about and an audience to reach, you can do so with through these blogs.
