I wanted you to see some photos from after the Cultural Revolution, from the period when Deng Xiaoping was in power. These photos are from the period 1984-1986, the first time I taught at Nankai University, in Tianjin; most of the photos were taken by Michael O&#8217;Donnell, my husband. Enjoy!
