Conclusion # 1

Imagine having the perfect life, the perfect family. Imagine growing up in a beautiful home in a nice little town. Imagine how satiated life would be. I can’t; I am finding it hard to pounder the thoughts of this imaginary life. My life, my family was far from perfect. I would not have wanted it any other way. If it wasn’t for them I would not be me. If one little thing would have been different I would have been a completely different person. I could never imagine that.

Conclusion # 2

Some believe you are born the person you are, others believe you learn to be the person you become. Personally I don’t understand how you can naturally be one way or another; you are born with no knowledge, no bias, nothing. I do believe that you begin to learn from the day you were born; from that day on you start to become the person you are.

Sometimes we may wish that we could pick our family members, I know I have. No matter how much we wish that we’re stuck with them forever. I’m just grateful that my family is very supportive of me. They’re there for me thru thick and thin just as I am for them. They gave me the strength to break away from my surroundings and to reach for every possibility. That’s what I feel made me who I am today. Both nature and nurture were a big part of me. I had all the pressures of staying in my surroundings and settling for less. With the help of my family and friends I am on my way to becoming a greater and brighter person.

Khayriy Tilghman

				Conclusion#1

Choosing my future was a hard task due to the environment I grew up in. It would’ve been much easier for me to sell drugs or work at the McDonald’s down the block. I had higher expectations for myself so I pushed for higher achievement. My mom was my motivation and the ghetto was somewhere I didn’t belong. As I sit here, in a college class room, hundreds of miles from home, Im one step farther from what kept me down. I was molded into what I wanted to be and didn’t settle with the cards I was dealt. I’m satisfied with my progress and my journey is starting to build its momentum as I reach the top of the bottom and rise.

				Conclusion#2
I was born into failure and doubt. Even though this is what was given to me, I never doubted the fact that I was able to fail so I worked as hard as I can to stay out of the negative thoughts and always be the exception to my city. As a current college student, I set the standard higher for my family and neighborhood. . I was molded into what I wanted to be and didn’t settle with the cards I was dealt. I’m satisfied with my progress and my journey is starting to build its momentum as I reach the top of the bottom and rise.

My family has relieved some of my stress like going to school and working at the same time. They nurtured me in such a way that I didn’t have to stress anymore. They took over some of my bills so that I could focus on school. The rest of that stress is still with me today. I am a full time college student with no money or transportation. that’s where nature comes in. There’s been plenty of times where I could of gave in to what was going on around me but with the support of family and friends they made sure I was on the right track. With that said I feel that I am who I am because of both nature and nurture. I had all the pressures of staying in my surroundings and settling for less but with help of family and friends I am on my way to becoming a greater and brighter person.
