Spain Study Tour 2007 Itinerary
Spanish Culture & Civilization aims to give a historical overview of some of the major trends in Spanish literature and culture. The course will emphasize various literary styles and ideological constructions that in different ways define the complexity of Spanish civilization and culture. While introducing the student to the social and historical context in which the literary works were written, the course will emphasize the following issues: gender, class, race, and the construction of regional identities in Spain.
LANG 3251 Spanish Culture and Civilization, Fall 2007, is inspired by the Spain Study Tour ‘07, conducted by Professor Gorica Majstorovic in March of 2007.
