This page was designed in Deborah Gussman’s American Short Stories Literature class as part of a short story database project. My weblog revolves around Shirley Jackson and her most notable story “The Lottery”. In this weblog the viewer will find biographical information, internet links to a full text of the story and reference pages. Furthermore, amongst other sections there is a short summary, an image collection, and a thorough close reading, which examines the theme by looking at the plot, point-of-view, setting, imagery, and characterization.
