Introduction to Literary Research

This is an electronic gathering spot for students in Kinsella’s section of Introduction to Literary
Research, Fall 2009.

We might think of the core of this course in two ways:

• Interpretation and analysis of texts and of supporting materials that together can be synthesized into well-designed discussions or arguments about literature
• Strategies for finding extrinsic evidence (vs. intrinsic) that support your understanding and knowledge and enable your discussion of a text, issue, or theory

Both ways are related.
