4 Individual Research Questions

Each of you will receive up to ten research questions. The time and effort required to answer these questions will further acquaint you with a variety of useful print and electronic resources in the Stockton Library. As you work, you are gaining experience collecting material, weighing evidence, reaching conclusions, and writing academic prose.

Please submit your retyped questions with appropriate answers, each accompanied by a brief statement describing the means by which answers were found, including any missteps. A three-page essay, describing research strategies learned to date, will serve as introductory essay to your answers. Your prose should be lucid and error free.

If we have asked for a bibliography that will run to several pages, you may copy pertinent printed material and include that with your answer in lieu of retyping the whole.

Please do not ask librarians for assistance. Instead, help one another and contact us if you need assistance. We will be walking through the library as often as possible during the length of this assignment, and we will be glad to help at other times as well. If you would like to check your answers with us before the due date, we will review your work, but it must be in person, not through e-mail.

If you have found an answer using the Internet, please substantiate the answer using one or more resource in Stockton’s library.

Finally, begin this assignment as soon as possible. Do not wait until the final week.
