Rule of Rose Timelines

The game Rule of Rose is very complicated. The plot is a complex one and many of the mysteries of the game overlap. The wonderful PokerNemesis, whom I mentioned in the introduction, has courteously created two timelines that put the events of the game into perspective.
One is the timeline that the game follows. Each chapter is given a month to delineate it from the other chapters. This timeline is difficult to follow and is not always consistent with the events that happened in Jennifer’s past. For example, for many of the months in the game, Jennifer and the other orphans are on an airship that is flying to India. In “reality”, Jennifer was on the airship with her parents before ever even seeing the orphanage, and the orphans were never on the airship at all. This timeline is more useful when trying to discuss a specific scene in the game; it makes it possible to direct another person to a scene easily.
The second time line is more accurate in “real” time, as opposed to Jennifer’s dream/memory recovery time. This timeline is composed of documents that are discovered throughout the game; letters, newspaper articles, etc. are all arranged chronologically. This is a very useful tool when trying to piece together clues in the game, such as when the adults left and possible causes for their disappearance.
Because of the complexity of the game’s plot, I have provided some useful links for those who have not played it. These will give some background on what I will be discussing:
The following link takes you to the page PokerNemesis calls “Important Resources”. This page contains links to both timelines that I mentioned previously.

This next link is a site that has the games script; everything said, or written during the game is on this page.
