Blog?!, about what? [the basic stuff]
This blog is about New York City. Sure, down here at Stockton people consider “the city” to be Philadelphia, or maybe even AC. But for me, there is only one “city” and that is the one in Manhattan. This blog is going to have information and updates about all the stuff that’s going on in NYC, particularly fun things for the college-aged individual. So explore, and maybe you’ll find yourself wanting to take a bite out of the big apple a little more.

Why NYC? [the important stuff]
This blog is about my favorite place in the whole world … New York City. I grew up with the skyline always in view, just 10 minutes away in a little town called Bergenfield. By the time I graduated high school, I could no longer stand to live in the city’s shadow. Unable to afford NYU, I settled for what I considered to be the next best thing, and moved myself into a little shoe box sized room at Manhattan College in the Bronx. I spent a year getting acquainted with the one-train, feasting on apple pies at nearly every McDonald’s downtown, and loving what the city had to offer.

Unfortunately, Manhattan College was no NYU. The Bronx was a far way from the excitement of the city, and MC was just not the place for me. So now I find myself back in New Jersey, at Stockton, a school that is pretty much the opposite of MC. And yes, I like Stockton, but South Jersey is no Manhattan (despite my fondness for WAWA). Stockton is home for now, but I certainly plan to make NYC my home one day …
