Faculty intending to submit proposals for the 2008 Summer Sessions of the Technology Academy are urged to attend an information meeting on October 25th from 4:30 to 6:00 PM in F225.

The purpose of this site is to describe Stockton’s Technology Academy for the Stockton community and for any visitor from outside of the College interested in our efforts.Basically, the Tech Academy is an effort — originally envisioned by President Saatkamp and his administrative staff — to bring new technologies to established courses and to offer those new technologies to junior faculty who haven’t yet implemented them.In the Summer of 2007, twenty faculty attended a two-week workshop — there were actually four workshops focused on a specific technology — where they (1) learned the technology and (2) participated in long and serious pedagogical discussions on how the technology might be implemented in a specific course. The effort — according to all assessments — was a resounding success and will be continued next summer. This site will offer descriptions of the goals, the proposal process and of the actual workshops. Further description can be found in the links on the left.
